Dear Parents, Guardians, Learners, and Members of the Maitland High Community,

It is with great honour and a deep sense of responsibility that I step into the role of Principal at Maitland High. I am truly excited to join a school with such rich history, strong values, and a vibrant community.

At the heart of my vision is a simple belief: every learner deserves the opportunity to grow, succeed, and feel valued. Education is not only about academic achievement, but also about shaping character, building confidence, and preparing young people to navigate an ever-changing world.

I am committed to working closely with our dedicated staff to create a safe, supportive, and disciplined environment where excellence can thrive. Together, we will continue to raise standards, celebrate achievements, and support every learner in reaching their full potential.

To our parents and guardians, your partnership is essential. A strong school is built on collaboration between home and classroom. I encourage open communication, active involvement, and shared responsibility in guiding our learners toward success.

To our learners, I say this: this is your school. Take pride in it. Respect one another, work hard, and never underestimate what you are capable of achieving.

  Wakhanya one of Maitland Highschool best soccer player on the team shares his experience on being a soccer player. ‘’  The Feeling of having this huge role is unexplainable as it brings joy, focus and empathy. Being a soccer player comes with wins and losses , so you will have to be strong emotionally to have the ability to handle the worst.   The teams recent match was against President High School with the outcome of 2-1.   GRADE 8 TOP ACHIEVERS TERM 1 2022 As any other learner, Astrid was also nervous during the examinations but what boosted her confidence was the fact that she put in the effort by studying on time.
